Our Story

Dr. R. L. Warren established Winfield Veterinary Hospital after graduating Kansas State University’s college of Veterinary Medicine in 1951. He took over the former town Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Allison, the contract was a simple hand shake.

The first clinic was on 8th street in uptown Winfield, where there now stands a church. The second clinic was a home Dr. R. L. Warren remodeled in 1962. It is the little white building that is just up the hill from our current location.

Dr. R. K. Warren the son of Dr. R. L. Warren graduated from Kansas State University’s college of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. In 1978 he began working along side his father and his partner Dr. Eddie Fisher. In 1981 the building was constructed that we are in now on 9th street. Our clinic has been a part of Winfield’s history for 70 years.

In July of 2023, Dr. Carlee R. Tucker and her husband Van purchased the clinic from Dr. Warren and hope to continue providing excellent veterinary care for our community.
